Herbs to rejuvenate and smooth the skin

Medicinal herbs that can rejuvenate facial skin

Medicinal herbs are contained in many commercially available cosmetics, but in this case they do not retain their beneficial properties for long. For this reason, purchased creams and masks become less effective after a while than at the time of purchase. You can also use medicinal herbs for facial skin in their natural form and prepare decoctions, infusions and masks from them at home.

dandelion

In cosmetics, dandelion has long been used in anti-aging treatments for facial skin. The plant also helps with dermatological problems; with their help you can remove freckles and whiten your facial skin. The plant contains rubber substances, vitamins of groups A, B, C, E, PP, organic acids, resins, sterols and saponins.

The most effective cosmetic procedures for facial rejuvenation are the use of masks and cosmetic ice from dandelion.

  1. Anti-aging mask. To prepare this mask you need to take dandelion juice in the amount of 5 ml, 1 avocado and 5 grams of starch. You need to puree the avocado and then mix all the ingredients together. The resulting mass should be applied to a pre-steamed face, left for 30 minutes and then rinsed with cold water. The mask can be applied to the face 2 times a week. After repeated use, deep and small wrinkles on the skin are noticeably smoothed and the facial texture becomes more elastic.
  2. Cosmetic ice cream. To prepare this product you will need: 10-15 ml of dandelion juice, 50 ml of distilled water, 5 ml of hazelnut oil. All ingredients must be mixed together, poured into molds and placed in the freezer. You need to wipe your face with the prepared cubes, preferably in the evening; the skin of the face must be previously cleaned of makeup. The procedure must be carried out in sessions of 10 days and the duration of treatment should not exceed 3 times a year.

rosemary

Rosemary can easily replace any lifting agent as it contains the protein HSP70, which can slow down the aging process at the cellular level. In addition, the plant contains tannins, fatty acids, vitamins and microelements that can heal and rejuvenate the skin.

Rosemary is most commonly used in the form of an essential oil, which is available at most cosmetic stores and pharmacies. To prepare cosmetics at home, you need to grow the plant yourself, since in its natural form it very rarely ends up on the shelves of stores and pharmacies.

  1. Rejuvenating mask. To prepare the mask, you need to mash half a banana and then add 50 ml of avocado oil and rosemary infusion or decoction. The amount of decoction or infusion must be calculated, taking into account that the finished mask should have a consistency similar to thick sour cream. The product can be applied to the face 2-3 times a week, after which the skin becomes more elastic and wrinkles are smoothed.
  2. decoction. To prepare the decoction, you need to take 20 grams of dry rosemary leaves, pour 200 ml of boiling water and place in a water bath for 15-20 minutes. The finished brew must be strained before use. Take 50 ml twice a day.
  3. infusion. The product is prepared from 50 grams of plant leaves, which must be poured with a glass of boiling water and left to infuse for 3-4 hours. It is advisable to do this in a thermos or wrap the container with the infusion in something warm. After the prescribed time has elapsed, the infusion must be filtered.

Important!Decoctions and infusions of rosemary can also be used in the form of compresses or made into cosmetic ice cream.

chamomile

Chamomile contains many vitamins, microelements and organic acids that are valuable for the body. All of this together helps rejuvenate, hydrate and brighten the skin, making it firmer and more elastic. In cosmetology, the most effective results can be achieved with decoctions and infusions of chamomile.

  1. decoction. To prepare the product, you need to pour dried chamomile flowers (25 grams) with a glass of warm boiled water and place in a water bath for half an hour. The finished broth should be filtered and, if necessary, diluted with boiled water. The product should be wiped over the face and décolleté area. After use, wrinkles on the face are noticeably reduced and smoothed.
  2. infusion. To prepare an infusion of chamomile, you need to pour a tablespoon of the dried and crushed plant into a glass of boiling water and leave for half an hour. The finished product must be filtered and wiped over the skin of the face as in the previous recipe.

sage

Using sage for cosmetic purposes will help cleanse your facial skin and preserve its youth for a long time. The plant contains anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic substances, which is why sage is so widely used in cosmetology.

  1. Infusion for the face. The finished sage infusion can be used as an additive to lotion or tonic, and can also be used in the form of compresses and facial lotions. To prepare an infusion of sage, you need to pour 3 tablespoons of dry raw materials with a glass of boiling water and leave in a thermos for 2 hours. The resulting infusion should be cooled, strained, placed in the refrigerator and used as needed. You can make cosmetic cubes from this infusion - pour them into molds, put them in the freezer and wipe your face with them in the morning and evening.
  2. decoction. A decoction of sage has an effective effect on the skin of the face, rejuvenating and toning it. To prepare it, pour boiling water over three tablespoons of sage and cook over low heat for another 15 minutes. The resulting product should be cooled, filtered and washed with it once a day.
